A strong aftershock hit already devastated southwestern China Friday, triggering landslides, blocking roads, knocking out phone lines and burying vehicles. Following an earthquake of such high magnitude, aftershocks are not uncommon. China also reported that 4.8 million people are homeless after their homes were destroyed by the quake.
