Falun Gong members say that more than 1,500 of its supporters have been detained in the run-up to the Olympic Games and that one of them, Yu Zhou, a popular folk singer, has died in custody. Yu's relatives were told he died of diabetes, but he never suffered from the ailment. Many websites in China are abuzz today with reports he was executed.
