A resolution in Congress sponsored by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and passed called on China to "end its crackdown on nonviolent Tibetan protesters" and put a stop to cultural, religious, economic and linguistic "repression." China was not pleased by this resolution and is letting the US know its opinion. A Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said the resolution is anti-Chinese.
