It takes a big development for a world leader to cancel plans to attend the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, but with impeachment looming Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf did just that. On Wednesday abruptly canceled his trip to the Beijing Olympic Games as local media reported that the ruling coalition had agreed on steps to remove him.

By the way, Musharraf will attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said Wednesday.
Pakistan and China are friends and alliance since 50s last century, no matter the president is Musharraf or Sherrif, they will gain the friendship and support from us, no matter whether come to attend the opening ceremony or don't, we won't mind anyway. Lots of my friends in Beijing will support Pakistani athletes during the game because their support during the earthquake. It's naive, but... whatever.
