China milk scandal: Government says milk free of contamination

Tests on 609 batches of liquid milk, as sold in 27 cities under 75 different brand names, were all clear of melamine, the chemical at the center of the scandal, according to the product safety watchdog. A further 129 batches of baby milk powder and 212 batches of other kinds of milk powder were also clean.

A first major power is stepping up to warn China that there could be consequences for the Olympics should China not properly address the situation in Tibet. France's leader, Nicolas Sarkozy's, will boycott the opening ceremony Beijing Olympics if China doesn't engage in talks with the Dalai Lama, end th violence in the region and release the political prisoners.

You bet! Trouble makers went on a violent rampage in Tibet, so China must end their violence.
It is not China committing violence, but trouble makers are.
Like any country, China must put a stop the violence to protect people and property.

I doubt Bush would make a similar pronouncement, but it would be nice if other world leaders stood up in an effort to bring about change in Tibet. Everyone knows China wants center stage this summer at the Olympics, even though with their human rights record, they don't deserve our attention as much as they deserve our scorn.
